Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
In today’s society, it’s easy to feel like your worth is measured by numbers. How many followers you have, how attractive you are, or how much money you make, claim to give you purpose. Without even realizing it, we start to believe that these things define who we are. But in the middle of all that noise, we forget something important: we were created in God’s image, intentionally and with purpose. There was never a moment where He made a mistake with you. The world will try to tell you that you aren’t enough, that you need to be more, do more, or look different to matter. And if you listen long enough, you might start to believe it. But that voice isn’t the truth. The truth is, you are already enough because of who made you. God created you with a purpose that isn’t based on the approval of others. So don’t let the patterns of this world convince you that your life, your calling, or your worth doesn’t matter, because it does, more than you know.
Life Application:
When I was in high school, I wasn’t necessarily an outcast, but I also struggled to build real friendships. I was one of those people who knew everyone, and everyone knew me, but there weren’t many genuine relationships behind it. I tried so hard to fit in that, somewhere along the way, I lost who I really was. The person I used to be, the Christian I once was, got buried under my cussing, a nicotine addiction, and a constant need to belong.
But who I was then isn’t who I am now.
Now I understand that I was made in God’s image, with purpose and intention. And no matter how many followers I have or how much money I make, none of it compares to the only opinion that truly matters, God’s.
God bless!
