John 14:27

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Whether you believe in God or not, one thing we can all agree on is that we are searching for a sense of peace and belonging. If He is truly in control, what do we have to carry alone? That is what Jesus is trying to portray in this verse. “Worry is believing God won’t get it right, and trust is believing that He will.” — Max Lucado

Life Application:
When I was a young adult, I watched a marriage fall apart in front of my eyes. My parents, whom I loved deeply, carried burdens that I didn’t fully understand until later in life. During that time, I struggled to find peace.

Not being afraid is nearly impossible—we are all afraid of something. Whether it’s losing a loved one, the feeling that we will never be enough, or the belief that no one truly loves us, fear is something we all experience. How we respond to that fear is what shapes who we are.

It’s okay to be afraid, but we shouldn’t let fear control our lives. Instead, we can let God lead, while we learn to trust Him with what we don’t understand. Don’t let fear take over your life, because ultimately, He is in control.

Have a great day!

God Bless!
